Hi everybody

When I am using VB 6 - usually when I start a project running or when I end it (by clicking the little X in the corner of the active form to close it) VB crashes and I get the nice little DR. Watson messages to say that an exception:acess violation has occured.

Any idead why this keeps happening? It is a new thing - I haven't changed anything on the PC - no new software or anything like that... and any ideas how to STOP it??

Thanks all

It's been awhile since I had a similar problem. I don't know if it is the same or not, but its worth a shot.

If my VB IDE toolbox was hidden and I loaded a project (and another condition existed--I don't remember what) I got the Dr. Watson.

If yours is in the same state, try loading VB, starting a new standard exe project, View (menu), and Toolbox and make sure the toolbox is visible. Then close the IDE (saves the IDE state).

Reload with your other project.

Hope it works ...

Mark
