I am new to Sourcesafe and getting used to it. Can somebody help me with these questions:

1. What files do I REALLY need to include in Sourcesafe from my VB project?

2. Should I create a batch file to update my local copy of the projects or should I just go to the Sourcesafe program and issue a "Get Latest Version" command?

Thanks for all the help!

I suggest always to include all files, I don't see why you should only include a few. If you include everything it is much more easy to get a latest version of everything, go back to a previous version of everything, etc...

For your second question, if it is for programming use, go to the SS-explorer, if you wright a bat-file non-checked-in files could be overwritten and delete all your changes.
