This might seem like a silly question. Whenever I'm coding in the VB window, my cursor wants to backspace and the code turns red (as if its trying to compile?) until I complete the line correctly.

I would love to turn whatever screwy feature this is, the backspace thingy is driving me crazy!!!

Just a suggestion, check for any open or hidden forms have a timer event running in the background

I have a Switchboard form with a clock running on a timer, you think that is what is doing it???

Exactly. Close your switchboard form or turn off the timer when in the vbe window

Bang!

That was the problem, how friggin' quirky. Thats why I love Access, it keeps you on your toes!

Thanx for sleuthing!
