vb app causes ms i-explorer to shut down, terminating the appl. 1

We have a loan tracking system that has been simply flying along at great speed and performance since fielding mdac 2.6.1 and oracle 8i. The front end is VB on ASP pages.

On one user's machine and only one, after working for a month, on her fifth transaction of the day MS Explorer started shutting down whenever she starts the loan tracking application and hits any key {other than mouse clicks}

We checked the obvious things like keyboard etc...

anyone ever run into this sort of thing?

I would say its IE slap SP1 on for IE6 that should help

We are currently stuck on ie 5.00 etc....

not rolling out win2000/xp til late next year...

27 other boxes are running the application fuine, no dployment or patches have occurred, and a re-install of the dlls on the subject machine had no impact...

Well if you think its a problem with that machine then ghost a machine that works and ghost it back onto the machine that doesn't that will rule out any software (windows, MS etc)
