I'm not sure if this is the correct forum for posting this question, but I was having trouble finding a forum that seemed to exactly fit my question.

I am connecting to a VAX system through the use of the Netterm terminal emulator, and I am having trouble mapping commands to the Num-Lock key. I need to map the "^[OP" command to Num-Lock, which will give it the same functionality that F1 has in Netterm by default.

One problem that I am having is that when I enter a value for the Num-Lock key in Netterm's keyboard mapping, it won't retain it. If I click another key and then click Num-Lock again, the value that I set Num-Lock to has been erased. If I play around with the keyboard mapping long enough, I can eventually get the "^[OP" command mapped to Num-Lock, but it still only functions half the time (when Num-Lock is toggled to on.) However, since Num-Lock still toggles on and off each time I press it, the desired command is only executed every other time I press the key.

Can anyone help me with this?

Thanks,
Burrito

P.S. I originally wrote and posted this question in the wrong forum a few days ago (oops), and since that time, I contacted Netterm's tech support and they said that this is a known issue with Netterm. However, I still thought I would see if anyone had dealt with this or had any suggestions for me.

Sorry, I can't help you. You might want to post your problem in the Usenet News Group comp.os.vms

There are many more VMS knowledgeable people there than even know this area exists...

You can use to post to news groups if you don't have access to a News Reader
