Hello all.

Using:
-WinXP Pro
-A7N8X Mobo
-AMD Athlon XP 2500+ CPU
-2-512MB Corsair XMS RAM
-64MB GeForce3
-SBLive! Gamer 5.1
-80GB Western Digital 7200RPM HD
-Pioneer (forgot how fast) CD/DVD-ROM
-Sony DRU-510A CD/DVD +/-R/RW

So far:
-System hung at amdagp.sys - deleted file
-System hung at mup.sys - renamed file because i couldn't get recovery console due to bad floppy disks
-System hung at ndis.sys - same as above
-System now hangs at ntfs.sys

I have been able to use this hard drive as a slave in another computer, which is how i deleted and renamed files. :)

I figured I would ask to see if anyone has any input before I go renaming everything in my winnt/system32/drivers folder. :p

You are getting farther and farther away from a solution. Renaming system files so that they do not load is never a solution.

The first file you deleted removed support the the AGP slot. The second removed support for all device drivers using .dll's. The third removed your network adapter protocol driver.

Remove the SBLive board to start, and do a repair reinstallation of XP:
When you have it working, go to Windows Update and spend an hour or so installing Service Pack 1 and all Hotfixes.

Then go and get updated drivers for your video adapter.

Set a restore point.

Add back the SBLive board.
Download new drivers for it.

Thank you. At the moment I don't have time to do this but I will bookmark that site and reinstall as soon as possible. I appreciate your help. :) Thanks again!
