I HAVE AN INTERESTING SITUATION. I AM RUNNING WIN2000 WITH SP3 INSTALLED. THE SYSTEM IS A DUAL PENTIUM III AT 500 MHZ WITH 512MB RAMBUS. I HAVE A RADEON 7200 AGP VIDEO CARD, SOUND BLASTER LIVE AUDIO, A HSP56 MODEM, PROMISE ULTRA 100 ADAPTOR CARD SUPPORTING 4 WESTERN DIGITAL HARD DRIVES, LINKSYS LNE100TX FAST ETHERNET, SONY DVD ROM. I HAVE INSTALLED IE 6.0 ALL THE LATEST UPGRADES AND DRIVERS. THE MACHINE IS AWESOME. HOWEVER I AM GETTING MANY BLUE SCREEN ERRORS AND MEMORY DUMPS. THE ERROR CODES ARE MANY, FROM NON PAGE AREA ERRORS TO MEMORY MANAGEMENT ERRORS. I ALSO GET MANY INSTANCES OF INTERNET EXPLORER CLOSING AND OFFERING TO SEND A REPORT TO MICROSOFT. NOW THE INTERESTING PART....ALL OF THE ABOVE CRASHES AND ERRORS ONLY OCCUR WHILE LOGGED ONTO THE INTERNET. I HAVE NEVER HAD A CRASH EXCEPT WHEN LOGGED ON TO MY ISP. ATT WORLDNET SERVICE IS MY ISP IN THIS CASE. I AM SUSPECTING SEVERAL CAUSES. FIRST I DO NOT BELIEVE IT IS THE RAM. I WOULD THINK THAT A RAM PROBLEM WOULD MANIFEST ITSELF ALL THE TIME AND I DO NOT BELIEVE IT IS A VIDEO CARD PROBLEM FOR THE SAME REASONS. I BELIEVE IT IS EITHER RELATED TO SP3 OR THE MODEM. I HAVE ALREADY TWICE DONE A CLEAN INSTALL. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY THOUGHTS ON THIS SITUATION ? OR HAS ANYONE EXPERIENCED A SIMILIAR SITUATION ?
