Hi all;

I may be the stupidest human ever but...

I have made subforms before - I have one main table with 5 or 6 variables and several contingent tables with lots of variables on 'em.
I make a link on a uniqu identifyer, one to many, cascade and update.
I define the parent and child table variable in form properties.

Create the main form on which the other subforms will rest, stick all the main variables on it, then go to insert subform, choose the subtable that i want define it's link field again..... and hit finish.
Access now creates a totaly different form that is not imbeded in the main form.
this USED to work i thought - WHAT am I doing WRONG here!!!!

All that I want to do is enter DATA!!!!

Thanks, sorry if I yelled..

Greg,
What version of access are you using. Inserting a subfrom should be as simple as you describe above. The only suggestion I have would be for you to try it manually. uncheck the wizard button and hit the insert button and set up the source and tables manually.

HI, thanks for responding;
Access 2000

I tried turning off hte wizard, i get the same little white box with nothing in it as I did when the wizard is on. I go to data and choose the table that I want to enter data into, I am offered no variable list to choose from. I am currently manualy creating each subform which is AGONIZING I must say.

If you can think of anything that might help I would be most gratefull!

Greg
