One of our users has managed to do something clever, but we're not sure how. They've managed to hide their inbox.
Sent Items, All documents, etc. are all still present, but Inbox has gone. Emails which should be in the Inbox are in All Documents.
The mailfile database is on a Notes 5 server.

Any help would be great.
Cheers,
Dan Moss

I've seen this happen when upgrading the database design from v4 to v5. Try replacing the design with the v5 Mail template (File , database , replace design) even if its already on that template. Then Cntrl, Shift, F9 to update the view.

There hadn't been any kind of upgrade unfortunately, one day it was there and the next it was gone. We actually sorted the problem in the end by backing up the users All Docs folder, then deleting and recreating the account. A bit drastic, but it did the trick.

Cheers,

We ran into this problem also, but it wasn't something that the end user did, it occurred when we simply upgraded our servers from V4 to R5. Something to do with ODS being set to R5 caused alot of Inboxes to disappear. The resolution was to go the Designer and look under Folders. You should find 2 Inbox Folders of which 1 will have all the mail in it and a 2nd Inbox Folder that has practically nothing in it. Delete the 2nd Inbox Folder and the true Inbox Folder will reappear in mailfile.

Hi,

Had the same problem... the template name in:
File - Database - Properties - Design Tab, was wrong.

Fixed it by doing a DB refresh:
File - Database - Refresh Design, select mail server then click OK.
