Hello

I want to configure VLAN on baystack 420/24T and I need help, does anyone of you know how to? so he/she can tell me if possible step by step, I realy appreciate your help

thanks

Hi

The steps are as follow:
Go to the menu
Open switch config
go to vlan configuration
enter the vlan number and the vlan type and select the port you want to be the members.
U- means member - means not a member

Note the default vlan is 1.

HOpe this will help

Mavvy

On a Baystack 450 I also go into VLAN port configuration and make sure the PVID equals my VLAN

I tried to remain child-like, all I acheived was childish.

You also might be aware that you can create PORT or Protocol VLAN's as well

Thanks guys for your help, once I am done I'll let you know
right now I am in preperation period

beware of the "T", as in tagged frame as well. If you're having several V-lans on the same port you'll have to use the trunk funktion (as seen in DM). Note that you cannot have that as an access point!
