Valcom V-2003A - No Tone when paging

Hello all,

We have a Valcom V-2003A going to some Valcom Lay-In Ceiling Speakers and when we page, I hear a double tone in the headset, however nothing from the speakers themselves indicating someone is going to be paging.

Is this an issue with the V-2003A? Programming issues with the IPO?

On the line, go to the Analog Options tab. Set the Await Dial Tone (ms) timer to 500

On the Valcom, DIP switch bank SW3, switchs 2 and 3 should be set to ON so that it provides dial tone and ringback (confirmation) tone to the pbx.

Test with a buttset on the Wht/Blu pair, bypassing the IPO

What is the number you are dialing for? A 2003 is sort of useless if you aren't going to pick a zone. The 2003 may also not be giving a dial tone because of the dialed digits.

Update, called Valcom - This unit does not play a tone overhead before you say your page. Only in the phone handset.
