Val Manager

Hi

We are running Val Manager 2.0.8 on CM 2.1

The problem we have is it connects ok but is unable to do backup or copy the files across.

We get this message :

Task ID: 7** : ValFtpClient constructor: A ping to IP addx '' failed. Ftp client reported 'Connection refused: connect'.

All settings appear ok.....anyone any pointers as to why this happens?

You need VAL with an equal or higher release than CM. For CM2.1, you need VAL2.1. You may be able to call tech support and you may be able to patch your version up to 2.1. I had the exact same issue.

yep 2.0.8 is crap. That's what we have. I think you gotta buy 2.1. (I dontknow I gave up on VAL manager)

you can use any other FTP app, or DOS FTP.

nope that still no workie... :-(

Same error, It moves the message properties, but it errors out on the wav file.

Call Denver. It's an easy fix. 1/2 the battle is to get to the group who supports VAL manager.
