we have a Val Board which will allow us to create new announcements, but when we play back there is silence. If we delete an existing one, and record in it's place we get silence again. There are approx 90 announcements on this board and plenty of time left.
It shows error 3840 aux data 4100.
Anybody any ideas?
Cheers

li integrated and check to see if there is time associated with them.

It will look something like this:

Annc. Internal Announcement Length in
Number Number Extension Name Rate Seconds
1 NA 3984 Listen_to_following_msgs 64 6
2 NA 3985 Christmas 64 41
3 NA 3986 New_Year 64 0
4 NA 3987 Memorial_Day 64 0
5 NA 3988 Independence_Day 64 0

Where there are zero's it means they're not recorded.

Start there- Let us know.

Thanks
CJH

it is showing times but still no sound?

I did find that error code in my list, but all I can get from the chapter on the VAL is:

Error Type 3840: circuit pack received bad control channel message from switch.

4096 Bad major heading
4097 Bad port number
4098 Bad data
4099 Bad sub-qualifier
4100 State inconsistency
4101 Bad logical link
4102 Bad application identifier

You may have a hardware issue with the board. I would try re-seating it.

Hi,

Have you recorded the .wav file in A-law/mu-law? If not, then when you dial the announcement no. the call-appearance drops. Check this out.

regards,
Jigar

The messages are recorded over the phone as per with the old TN750 boards.
The times DO NOT appear in the list integrated as first stated it shows 0.
We located a new board into a diferent cab and the recording worked fine initially, now we have the same problem on all 3 boards!!

Thanks for the replies but any more help?

Hi B4rney,

Have you made any further progress on this?

Si

Hi Si
We just simply swapped the boards out in the end and this seemed to resolve the problem.
