I have tried to install a Val announcement board, but i getting af onboard warning under disp alarms.

In my disp sys cus, the Maximum Val Board is not counter 1 up. I have been told that it is not required to get one more valboard licens, when it automatic will count 1 up, upon installation.

Is this correct.

Did you "just" put in the VAL board? You also have to add a datamodule, type ethernet to the system in order to identify the board and to be able to use it. Also you might need to add the board to your node-names to give it an IP address for administration through VAL manager. If you already have a board, check out those settings an simply copy them for the new board.

Hope this helps?

I have installed it with datamodule, node-names, ip-interfaces and so on.

So a full install hass been done, but no difference.

Still onboard warning.

It does sound like a licensing issue. The system will default to 1 board and let you use it. After that you do have to add the "RTU's".
