VAL backup announcements no MAC address!

I have a TN2501 VAL board that cannot be pinged, and needs to be backed up before removing it, although it should maintain the announcements.

Enable filexfer board 10B20
VAL is set 10Mb FD non-auto

I'm using my laptop, a x-o cable and filezilla to port 21, 22, 25, 33

Although, I'm able to connect via port 25 SFTP
The announcement files do not appear!
It would appear there is NO MAC address!

arp -a

Interface: 12x.xxx.xxx.x0 --- 0x2

Do 'display communications-interface links' to find the link number assigned to the VAL board. Then 'status link x'. See if the MAC address is listed there (Physical Address).
