Hello all,

Using MSProject 2000, I am trying to output the vacation overview of the people involved in the project. I would like to have the following columns:

name group

plus a series of columns (number of the week in the year preferabley but I would accept virtually anything else of that manner)

There would be a line per person and the week(s) that the person was on holiday would be indicated in the appropriate column in some fashion.

Is this possible?

Thankyou

I'm on my P98 machine right now. Can't remember if this can be done in P2000+ -- maybe I'll find time to check this weekend.

No, it isn't possible.

You'll need some VBA and an understanding of TimeScaleData to actually create the report.

There are some "sort of" workarounds but, frankly, they have so many issues that I won't waste your time reading about them (or mine in typing them).

Bummer! That's a bit odd though. It would seem to me to be somewhat useful to have a vacation planning report. It's one thing to have vacation embedded into a project but for the day to day vision of your resources I find it nice to have a little 'spreadsheet' on the wall showing who's around and when.

I guess I'll have to find another way.

Thanks anyways.

I'd be intested to hear if there's an appropriate way to do this in MS Project, I tried and gave up. What I've done is to create an new calendar in Outlook. This is much better that a spreadsheet and is quite accepateble printed in Month view.
Of course what it doesn't do is interact with the project, but I've always had problems with geeting Ms Project to deal with resources in the real world where there are calls for resources outside that the project.
