V880 SMC Disk Error - héeéeéelp

Hi all,

I'm setting up a V880 with onboard 6x74Gb FACL disks.
The machine is installed (sol9) using tip & all that went without a glitch.
ran the recommended patch cluster for sol9 & installed oracle9 on it. All that went perfectly well.
Now I want to setup 3 disks together with metatool, from inside the management console, enhanced storage.
Each time I click on storage --> disks I get following error popup:

"Attempt to get a list of all disks failed with unexpected CIM error:
CIM_ERR_FAILED"

Nothing is shown in the disk panel after the error.
When selecting the enhanced storage panel the management console just hangs there with no CPU usage for hours untill I kill it.

Anybody any idea what this could be ?
Any help is appriciated...Never seen this error before and I got no clue where to start looking.

metatool, in my experiences, has been flakey at best. If you have ever contacted Sun support about metatool, they groan in the background. (they seem to hate it). I would recomment using/learning the command line stuff if you want to use DiskSuite.

Yeah, I did it a few times using the commandline but I lost my FAQ for it :/
I have a use for it every 6 months or so,
otherwise metasync & metastat are the only ones I need.

I feel a web search coming up.
