V4 Maint release put back

I am not even considering 4.0 until after June 15th when the first maint release comes out. Then, after some field feedback comes in on here about it as well. I have serviced some 4.0 stuff, but I have never brought a 4.0 into the real world yet, as it is not ready for the real world.

I would assume the maint release is not coming out until June 15th because they have so many issues with the GA release, they are not ready with the maint release yet. Have to get all those private builds tested.

I was really counting on the earlier-reported (hoped for?) May 31 release. I've worked on enough 4.0 systems so far to be able to roll with the punches, but if given the chance again I'd stick with 3.2.55 for now - this seems to be a very stable release.

4.0 is fine if:

You watch how you use outcalling and escallation get the 4.0.15.1 vm patch

you don't use the visual voice key to set up a new users mailbox.

you don't delay ring to aa a call and expect it to press a digit go to another group and the to that groups vm box.

you use the patch for the 16 trunk module.

you don't expect the Idial key work like it did before.

You are prepared to have group members stop rining even though they are still logged into the group.

There's more but I can't think of them right now.

aeverson are you sure of this? haven't done a 4.0 SCN yet. even with a huntgroup shortcode on the other side you can't do it? Do you know if Avaya is aware of this?

I think that was because of 2.1 (24) that one wase even worse then 4.0.....
