Hi all,

I am trying to setup a new G350 but I have got this error:

G350-???(super)# sh module
SLOT TYPE CODE SUFFIX HW VINTAGE FW VINTAGE
---- -------- ---------- ------ ---------- -----------
v0 G350 C 3 28.17.0(B)
v1 -- Initializing --
v2 E1T1 MM710 B 11 44
v3 DCP MM717 A 4 9
v4 Analog MM716 A 6 91
v5 -- Not Installed --
v6 -- Not Installed --
v7 Analog (on-board) A 7 91

Do I forget something?

Many thanks in advance.

the ??? means that you're G350 is registered to the S8300 processor. Have you setup the MGC list?

Firstly thanks for your quick response.

This G350 es completely clean of config.Thats because I want to start installing the system.
But, my problem is that S8300 is not coming up to connect to.

Any idea about that?

G350-???(super)# sh mgc

CALL CONTROLLER STATUS

Done!

G350-???(super)# sh mgc list

You need to configure the MGC list. The MGC list tells the gateway where to register to. If you're planning to run a standalone system then the only IP address in the MGC list would be the IP address of the S8300. You can run through the wizard to configure the gateway or you can configure it manually. I haven't done a CM5 install yet however I would imagine you still need to configure the VOIP processor, the gateway and the P330 stack with an IP address.

Colby007, I have done interface config.
interface Vlan 1
icc-vlan
ip address 1.1.1.1 255.255.255.0
pmi
exit
but when I am trying to attach this IP to the MGC List (because I want to register against himself) I get an error:

G350-???(super)# set mgc list 1.1.1.1

Invalid arguments
set mgc list -- Sets the Controller Host List
Usage: set mgc list <ipaddr>[,<ipaddr>[,<ipaddr>[,<ipaddr>]]]

<ipaddr> - INET address of a Media Gateway Controller.

Example: set mgc list 135.6.8.99, 135.34.54.2

...and module is still initializating..

Many thanks.

Did you load Communication Manager on the S8300C yet? If it's not loaded with CM, that is the result I would expect to see. You need a USB CD-ROM and the CM CD, connect to the service port @ 192.11.13.6 and install CM & configure it.

You are right Mich672:
CM must be installed before, even if config is with nothing.
G350-???(super)# sh module
SLOT TYPE CODE SUFFIX HW VINTAGE FW VINTAGE
---- -------- ---------- ------ ---------- -----------
v0 G350 C 3 28.17.0(B)
v1 S8300 ICC C 2 4

Thanks to all.
