I send an file as an attachment with the mail. The receiver gets the file not as an attachment but in incorporated in the mail. The text is also wrong. With an other file it works oke.

The command is:

uuencode /prt/$1/input.mail/Result2N.txt.130504-133640 /prt/$1/input.mail/Result2N.txt.130504-133640 2>uuencode.log | mailx -s "Test " mg.bogaard@xxx.nl

The text of the input file is:

Aantal records met reden H :33
Aantal records met reden N :2011
Totaal aantal records :2044

The text in the mail is:

begin 644 /prt/prod/input.mail/Teller.txt.130504-133640
M"@I!86YT86P@<F5C;W)D<R!M970@<F5D96X@2"`Z,S,*06%N=&%L(')E8V]R
M9',@;65T(')E9&5N($X@.C(P,3$*5&]T86%L(&%A;G1A;"!R96-O<F1S("`@
)("`@.C(P-#0*
`
end

I changed your example to:

begin 644 ./Teller.txt

to test it. Does the receiver have a path /prt/prod/input.mail ?
I got an errormessage no `end' line but the file was decoded well.
Perhaps the path is the problem.
Or the '-' in the filename?

This one got me stumped but I realised that mailx is a MIME enabled mail client.
You therefore would only need to uuencode your file if you are using the standard mail command.
To send your files with mailx,
echo "Here are your files..." | mailx -s "Hello" -a Result2N.txt.130504-133640 rzs0502@5fm.za.com
