uucp via cron 2

One set of files are sent to mach #1. Then these files are tar'd into 4 files and sent to mach #2. For the last couple of months, the files for mach #2 are being queued twice, and sent via uucp. Problem occurs quite freqently, but not all the time. Checked all logs, programs and cron, but cannot find anything amiss. There is 1 instruction for each machine in cron.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Sorry, I should have stated this is for SCO openserver 5.0.6

There was a patch for cron that covered 2 versions, I think it was 5.0.5 and 5.0.6. The patch resolved some issues like this.
