Yesterday, I was in Everett Massachusetts. While waiting for a traffic light, I looked up. What I saw had me reaching for my phone. I guess it was a late Friday afternoon job. [bugeyed]

At least it up the pole I've seen them strapped to the pole at ground level.

I have done done this back in the day for the multi day drop jobs but we didn't have those small reels back then.


There is a bit of a mess there....
-The reel to nowhere, looks like it is completed to the left and to be continued.
-Something to the left of the reel that resembles a power bar
-A large long hanging terminal box
-3 hydro conduits NOT fastened to the pole
-Poor wiring for the street light.

But there are places that are a tad worse, not sure if this street lights wiring is any better here as it's kind of hard to see....

Cable Splice Enclosures
You have probably seem them but haven't taken too much notice because in NA we have them mounted neatly in line with the drop wire usually a couple feet from the pole.
