I've just configured a VPN RAS server on an NT4 server and a windows 98 VPN client ,but when i try to connect to the server via VPN sometimes it connects first time and other times I get 751 errors or time-outs.It just seems to me to be really naff - or is it something I've got wrong?
Wondered if anyone else has had this sort of problems?

I have exactly the same problem, did you ever get this sorted out? I have had successful VPN connections from my win 98 client but it's so unreliable it's just unusable. Windows 2000 clients work perfectly. I'd love to get a solution for this as we have more Windows 98 clients that need VPN access than Windows 2000.

I have a similar problem. I have a VPN server running WinNT 4.0. My remote clients run win98 and win2K and use USRobotics ADSL Router to connect via DSL link. Only one user can connect at any given time. If another user tries to connect, he fails on authentication with the error 71 "No more connections.. Yest I have allowed for multiple connections on the server. Any idea what could be the problem? I am desperate.
