What are the steps to remote access one of my computers on my home network?

(I'm new to this.) I am using a router at home and unable to remote access using VNC from outside home network.

Thank you!

Nevermind. I just figured it out myself. I was using the wrong IP address to which to connect. Now I know to point to the WAN IP address. I also had to set my router to open the correct port, redirecting it to a private port. Hope that helps anyone else.
