Using VMWare Converter With SBS2003

We have inherited a Small Business Server 2003 box during a takeover, the hardware is useless and we would like to virtualise the box while we integrate the two domains. I have attempted to use the converter but it says it does not know the OS, the same thing happens during an agent conversion. Does anyone have any experience with this?
