Has anyone managed to use VFP stored procedures with crystal reports (v 8.5) ?

I've driven crystal reports by stored procedure before using SQL server , but when I try with VFP, crystal won't list any stored procedures or views ( I've selected these from the 'allow reporting on' tick boxes)

Had a look at the crystal site but they only talk about stored procedure support for SQL server/sysbase/oracle/Infomix and DB2, no fox.

Thanks in Advance !

"Normally" the VFP stored procedures are the ones located in a database to verify the Referential Integrity of the data. Are those the ones you a refering to?

Hi Mike,

Those are the ones I was hoping to use. Haven't used stored procedures in VFP before. Can we use them for more then Referential Integrity ?

Normally you wouldn't use them for anything other then Referential Integrity, since they will only trigger when you either save, delete, edit etc... records.
Create a program with the procedures you want to use and thenuse them by using a SET PROCEDURE TO myProcedure.prg

JaseP,
Yes you can, BUT not using ODBC. The DBC's stored procedures can only be accessed through the VFP 7.0 OLEDB client. If CR can use this client you should be able to access the SPs directly. Note: Until VFP 8.0 is released, you'll need to have a copy of VFP 7.0 to be able to distribute the VFP OLEDB client, as there isn't a license free version of this client (yet).
