Hi guys

A client of ours wants to be able to email documents to a third party, but because of their sensitive nature, the only option allowed must be printing only.

The documents are created using MS Word - I know I can convert that to a PDF, but does anyone know how I can use VB to impose the various Acrobat document security measures?

TIA
Mick

Have a look at the Zeon DocuCom PDF Driver 6.x,
You can set all the PDF properties at run-time via ini file entries. There is comprehensive control over document security.

FYI, my ActiveX DLL, PDXPro, wraps the DocuCom ini access and exposes nearly 180 document settings as read/write properties:

Thanks for the info.

I was afraid it'd involve buying something :)

Getting hold of new software is terrible here, having to get it sourced, costed and approved, then approved by my line manager - it's a lot of hassle and takes absolutely ages. The joy of working for a plc I guess!! lol

The Docucom driver looks to be just what I want as well!!

I've just cracked the VBA code that Adobe use to add their stuff into word, so I'll have a look through that.

Cheers
Mick
