Using the VM feature on the LG GDK16

I installed a GDK16, with 2 key phones and 6 SLTs extensions. I need to allow incoming calls to ring all the phones and then goto VM, but cannot find this easy to do. If anyone has a couple of steps that I can do please let me know

In Menu 11 you can create your UCD group for the necessary number of phones. If your software is version 4.0 (D.0)or higher then it will be possible in menu 11-1-3 to set the overflow destination to DVU (voice mail). The overflow timer can also be set.
To see the s/w version press TRANS/PROG and 40.
It will look like this : LGE/GS 70P-4.0Bc

Thanks, I have that and I get the overflow announcement but then it hangs up and station 100 says invalid. Not sure what is invalid. Code is LGE/UK75P-4.0Ce

You need to record a system message 10.(DVU drop).
Do it this way:
1. Press TRANS/PROG + # + 4 .
2. Press 1 for System Messages.
3. Press 10 for System Message 10 (Overflow message).
4. Press 2 for recording your overflow message.
5. Press # to begin recording your message.
6. Press Hold/Save after the overflow greeting has been recorded.
It works with s/w LGE/GS75P-4.0De.

Done that, but it still just hangs up. Even tried using hunt 2 set to vm only 15 second timer and it plays the overflow announcement and hangs up

According to my info is the voice message in an overflow from a hunt group always spoken and then the call is disconnected. It says in my manual that an overflow message is a "DVU Drop". DVU means Digital Voice Unit.
So it works accordin to the manauls...
With the LDK series (e.g. LDK-24) it works different. It is possible to overflow to e.g. menu function.
With the GDK-16 overflow can be made to a station, hunt group, speed dialing number or DVU drop.

What I have done to get around it is to have on 100 a dorward to DVU setup on one of the flex buttons, that works and it answers after 4 seconds, just need to remember to stop it when I get home
