Hi,

I'm trying to add a persitent route to my windows 98 system. I tried using the -p switch that doesn't seem to work.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance
Stepping out on a limb here but I'm not sure that functionality is built into win 98 but a search of the support base gave a tool called IPrip listen that can be installed to build routing tables..It's on the 98 cd.
Nope, adding to the LMHosts file will just give it name resolution, not tell which routed networks will get you there. I believe, besides the IPrip (assuming your network routes rip) you can add the route command to the winstart.bat file.
I've installed the RRAS software, so I could configure it to use rip. Is the winstart.bat a batch file that I need to create?

Yes, winstart.bat can be created and put in the windows directory. It will activate the batch file on bootup after most if not all the services are loaded...
