Using Text in Excel Charts

I have 2 columns of data, each with eleven entries. The following are the data pairs in columns A & B:
0,Excellent
1,Excellent
2,Excellent
3,Excellent
4,Good
5,Good
6,Good
7,Fair
8,Fair
9,Poor
10,Poor

The question is how do I make an Excel Chart with text in the data fields. I want to have the numbers 0-10 across the x-axis of the chart and the text values (Poor-Excellent) in ascending order on the Y-axis. Any suggestions?

What data is going to be in the chart if those columns are on x and y axis? I'm not sure I understand what the data is.

I was not clear in my initial posting. In the data portion of the chart I would like a marker (dot, x, etc.) to signify for each x-axis value whether it is "Poor", "Fair", "Good", or "Excellent". A connecting line between the dots is optional.

The only thing i can think of at the moment is to assign values to the text eg.

Excellent = 4
Good = 3
Fair = 2
Poor = 1

this means the chart would have values to plot, then remove the y-axis labels and add the labels yourself.

I know this isn't the best way to do it but it should work.

ok...then just highlight your data and select insert/chart

select line chart as an option and then looking at the different kinds of line charts just pick one.

It will give you a marker at each data point. Ya' Gotta Love It!X-)
