I am a Unix guy by trade, but my boss included me in a group to evaluate if it is possible to use Terminal Server and/or Citrix to replace conventional desktop PC's. I have found information indicating this is possible. But I have not found anything saying weather it is possible to run Terminal Server in parrallel across a WAN. Optimal situation for a failure or disaster situation would be to have a hot sight at one of our other locations. Does any one know if it is possible to keep two Terminal Server boxes mirrored accross a WAN and if so can you give me any insight as to how and where to start looking for information? Thanks in advance.

there is an option in DNS to use "round robin" distribution of addresses to clients but the example I saw was using it to use multiple servers to host a website. I've not investigated using it to host multiple Terminal Servers. If it is a viable use, I would recommend having a backend on which to serve and store the data to the terminal servers.

Thank you Seasparay0. I will look into that more.

But this will not help to keep the boxes running in a mirrored state. I guess I am not sure if that is really possible in a windows environment.
But what do I know, I am just a simple sandwich man.

Does anyone know if there is a way or a product to mirror a windows server environment accross a WAN (particularly Terminal Server)?

Thanks
