Hi i want to use session variables to hold info on a user when they log in. im using jsp pages.

Using Session variables

You can get the session by using the getSession method on the request. You then can put an object into the session by using either the putValue or setAttribute method on an HttpSession depending on which version of the servlet API you are using.
