I am trying to change databases on a report based on a complex Crystal query, and the databases are stored in DB2.

Let's say I want to change from database Data1 to Data2. When I copy the query into a new report which is pointed to Data1, it works. When I copy the query into a new report pointed to Data2, it works. But from either of those reports, when I try to use "set database location" to change from one database to the other, I get the error message "Some tables could not be replaced, as no match was found in the new data source. Please specify the table required for any unmodified tables."

Any words of wisdom?

Thanks,
Mountaine

when you are changing the report to point to a new database and try to run the report it will ask for a logon into the new database. In this screen instead of entering the login and clicking next, click on the back button.
Now select the new database from the datasources listed.
hit next and continue.
After this you can also click on the verify database found in the database menu to ensure that the database info is current.
Please check if this helps solve the issue.

Thank you, Telemachus. The login request comes as a popup, and there is no "back" button to use. I'll remember your suggestion for future issues with other systems, but with this one, it doesn't seem to do the trick. Mountaine
