This may be a dumb question, but can I print on Photo paper with my Laserjet 5500 and 4500? Thanks,

CR

I dont think you will have any problems. We use photo paper on our 4500 printer. I found it feeds best if you use the manuel feed tray in the front.

Alrighty, I'll give it a go and let you know how it goes.

The problem with using any inkjet paper in a laser printer is the fusing process. Ink jet papers are made to take a liquid ink, with as little "spread" as possible, then air-dry. A laser printer puts a powerdered ink on the paper, then "bakes" it on.

Inkjet paper can discolor, or worse yet, leave a residue on your fuser roller.

Just my $.02

Thanks, I think I'll stick to inkjets with the photo paper...I tried making one print on the 5500 (laserjet) and it looked pretty crummy.
