What is the easiest way to deploy a superdat with orchestrator? I tried to set up the 'Auto upgrade' but it won't update the scan engine OR the dat files. I can use 'Auto Upgrade' to update just the dat files, that works fine. Can anyone help? Thanks.

You'll need to download the AUTOUPG.ZIP file from the same page where you download the SuperDATs. Extract the files to the same directory and rename SDATxxxx.EXE to SETUP.EXE.

All you need to do now is to point the AutoUpgrade to this directory.

HTH,
AVChap ... take my advice, I don't use it anyway!

Thank you. That worked great. I appreciate the response.

Well, I must be doing something wrong because it will not work. I am sure you know what you are talking about so it must be me...............In the monitor of the computer I am trying to send the update to it says that the task was loaded successfully and then it says invoking task and then is says executing task but nothing happens. It does'nt do the upgrade. Any suggestions of what I may be doing wrong?

Hi Guys,

I am struggling with E-orchistrator as well, when I schedule an auto-update or auto upgrade, the task comes in the list on the client, but the scheduling itself does not enable on the clients, so it doesn't start updating.

It does not matter what option I choose ( run immediately, run once a day etc etc) the "enable scheduling" is not activated through the policy. I am running epo 2.5.

Could someone please tell me if I am doing something wrong ??

Thanks,

Ommer

You'll need to create AutoUpgrade tasks for both VS and NS. You probably created a task for VS and looking at the agent running NS.
