Using NTBackup on NT4+Exch 5.5

Hi,

I am using Exchange 5.5 on NT 4.0. The server has DNS
and WINS services too.
I am using NTBackup command line utility and backing up using DS and IS every night using scheduler.

I would like use an additional NTBACKUP command in the same script to add other directories also of the server
(like WINNT etc).
I do not want to stop the services.

These are my questions:

1. What are the directories I should avoid?
Can I backup C:\EXCHG directory?

2. Any suggestions and words of caution?

3. Apart from verify switch what are the ways to
test the integrity of the data backed up?

Any inputs will be appreciated.

As far as I'm aware, you have to stop the exch. services to back up the *.mdb and the *.edb.
