Using multiple forms for a single record

I am using multiple forms to enter records for a table (the table has too many fields for a single form - the reason for having multiple forms). The problem occurs when I open the 2nd form, it goes to a new or different record. Does anyone know how I can synchronize the forms so that they work with the same record? (and after opening the 2nd form I want to be able to close the 1st).

P.S. I am a newbie and don't know much about VB etc., so the simpler the solution the better.

THANKS!!!!

That was a simple solution. I have the same problem. Thanks a million.

Hi there, thanks for your help. I've fixed the problem (put button on form 1 to open form 2 using wizard, specify records to open on form 2 where form 1 ID = form2 ID). I did try using a tab control earlier, but came up with the same prob (too many controls for the form, and I almost had all of them on it!!!! - aagghhh).

cheers
