I searched but could not find a thread for this. I need to setup some routing in VM Pro like this.

during the day time, once a caller selects the prompts for front desk, then it should go like this?

7 am to 9 am route calls to front desk
9 Am to 12 Pm route calls off site.
12 pm to 3 pm, front desk,
3 pm to 6 pm, off site.

will I need to cascade the condition editor for each successive time frame? or is there a simpler way to reference it.

I hope my question is making sense.

I would use Time Profiles in Manager. Set up the ICR to route the calls to the front desk and a phantom user forwarded to the outside number.

Dermis and feline can be divorced by manifold methods.*

I should specify, this all has to occur within VM Pro as it is capturing all of the inbound calls first.

Just cascade the conditions off of the menu's DTMF for the front desk

Create conditions with Week Planners for 7a to 9a, 9a to 12p, 12p to 3p, and 3p to 6p

Check the 1st condition, true transfer to Front Desk
1st condition false, test 2nd condition, true transfer off site
2nd condition false, test 3rd condition, true transfer to Front Desk
3rd condition false, test 4th condition, true transfer off site
4th condition false, it's between 6pm and 7am, either the calls doesn't get to the menu outside of the working hours, or pick a default destination for these calls

prior to getting answers, I experimented with the condition editor. This scenario was the first time I tried to implement something like this. It appears that you can add multiple time profiles to the condition as I did here. I create a front desk condition, and added time profiles for 7-9, 12-15, and 19-21, and then I create the module and used the Test Condition and it seems it routes the calls accordingly based on the times. I will do additional testing today to see if there are any issues. I attached a screenshot.

Zman, although creating compound conditions is possible, form a maintanence perspective it is usualy better to cascade the condition checks as it makes it more obvious to anyone else administering

IE, check for special events
check for Holidays
Check for working hrs

even better if you create this as a module with named exit points so that it can simply be dropped into other call flows

Z-Man,

Adding the week planner into a single condition will only create a single true/false result, so you can't create multiple routings.

You would use this for say two time sets you wanted to test for. This would be used for example to test for "night hours". One week planner would have Monday to Friday midnight to 09:00 and the other Monday to Friday 17:00 to midnight. If it was between 09:00 and 17:00 you would get a false condition (day hours), any other time (each week planner is a match) you would get a true condition (night hours). It is in effect an "OR" logic gate, where it is true if week planner 1 OR week planner 2 match.

You need to create separate conditions with a week planner for each test you want to make and cascade them as TouchToneTommy suggested.

“Some humans would do anything to see if it was possible to do it.
If you put a large switch in some cave somewhere, with a sign on it saying 'End-of-the-World Switch. PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH'.
The paint wouldn't even have time to dry.”
