hi....does anyone knows how to use the MSComm control on interacting between two pcs? Thanks in advance.....

The MSComm control is a bit more basic than what I think you are looking for. You could certainly use the msComm control to connect two PCs together, but you would have to write all of the protocols. The comm control is really more for developing applications to interface with hardware connected to the com port. Having said this, you could certainly write all of the code to handle interfacing two computers through a comm port, but it would be far easier to simply buy two network cards and allow Windows to do what it was designed to do.

Hunter,
I'm not sure what you mean by 'writing all the protocols'. If just transfering some data from one to the other there's nothing to write, it's pretty straighforward, you just match the connection parameters between the two and use the input/output of each comm control and take in the stream of data on the oncomm event. It's quite easy but not done much because there's usually no reason for pc-pc serial communication.
