How do I create a macro that is not specifically attached to a workbook but is stored somewhere that it would always be available to run when excel is open. I have been able to create a macro under a Personal Workbook when it gave me the choice but I am trying to do it on another computer and it doesn't give me this option when i create a macro.. any ideas

cheers,

Justin

Hi,

There is no reason why you cannot srore ANY procedure in the PERSONAL.xls workbook.

Please describe the options that you do have?

Skip,

for a NUANCE![tongue]

Where i am noticing the difference is on the computer where it is working, when you go to record a macro and asks you what you would like to call it, and where you would like to store it--> it gives you the options to store it in the current workbook(book1.xls), a new workbook , or Personal macro workbook, the last one is the one I want and have been able to use to create this PERSONAL.xls that has my macros stored in it.What I am having trouble with is this option does not show up on the computer where i would like to do the same thing on.

thanks for the help

cheers,

Justin
