using lmktemp

I am connecting a server to a SAN ad i have created a Journaled File system and it is mounted. I am testing writing large files to is and i am using the command:

# lmktemp file5g 5120m

I get the following error while trying to create the file:
file5g: A file or directory is the path name does not exist.

I can make small files say 1000m with no issues.

In a standard jfs, 2GB is max filesize.

Try to make a jfs2 type filesystem for your tests.

Check the fsize setting for the ID you are using lsuser -f userid. You may need to change it to -1 allowing you to create files of unlimited sizes. The default is 1 GB. Also if the filesystem is built on jfs it has to be large file enabled.

I think kierong meant to do this command:

chuser fsize='-1' userid
