Is there any way to use the field type hyperlink so that users can click on file locations on a form and open them directly I have noticed that if i type a file location into the url on ie it takes a strange form:

Example:

file:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/Administrator/Application%20Data/Microsoft/Templates/Doc.dot

Also the backslashes are converted to forwardslashes!

Any clues?

Many thanks

Andrew

I'm using Access 2002 and hyperlinks to files work OK for me.

How are you adding the hyperlink and to what type of control on the form?

There are 10 types of people in the world. Those that understand binary and those that don't.

Just enter the file name in the cell, right click on hyperlik and browse for the filename in the hyperlink window.

You can do it when you ** do it
