I have a message display which is a screen that will display data to the employee's where i work. This display will tell workers what time they are scheduled to go to lunch, how there lines are running etc.I was told that I could use hypertrm to send the messages to the screen. Can anyone give me some direction?

Thanks for responding so soon. I have the manual that tells me what commands are needed to change the display. My problem is thatI am not sure how to set up hyperterminal.

Is there a way that you could find out on your computer if yopur com port 1 is being used by other programs on your computer ?

I don't use Hyperterminal at all, but as best I can tell you need to create a new connection, do not enter a phone number, and make sure you are set to the correct COM port. I'm not aware of a way to tell if another device is using the COM port that Hyperterminal is trying to access.
