My system support department used the hostdump.sh script to
backup my Solaris 2.6 system. How do I restore these files.
What command do I use

ufsrestore ifvs /dev/rmt/<device number> <file number>
use the device number for your tape drive and the file number from the hostdump log.
ls - will show the files available.
add - will select the files to be restored.
extract - to actually restore them.
when you are asked for the volume number enter 1
quit when finished.
