I am trying to intergrate a Vbscript into HTML to unlock user accounts in Windows 2000 Domain. This script works when i run the .vbs file but when i try to put it into html i get this following error: ActiveX componet can't create object: 'GetObject'
Code: 0

Is it even possible to do this? because I have read an article that html/web browser doesn't prossess the GetObject.

I can post the code if anyone wants to see it just let me know.

Set your IIS settings to NOT allow anonymous users. give that a try!

The ralphtrent's proposal is for ASP.
If it isn't the case, you may consider hta to avoid some IE security issues.

Hope This Help

GetObject( ) is a VBScript intrinsic function. AFAIK it works just fine in an HTM or HTA page.

I'd guess you are running afoul of IE security restrictions as PHV suggests.

Yeah the .hta seems to be working just fine now. I had a few issues with the wscript.echo command but I changed that to msgbox and works fine.

Thanks

I'm having this problem, I'm unclear on what finally fixed it for you bdragun, can you elaborate?
