Hello, I have created a file consisting of 2 frames, one of which is hidden. I am now having problems in creating a template using this file. Seems that only one of the frame is saved in the template. I am now wondering if it is at all possible ? Please advise me if you can, thanks.

a template = a page
so if you have
- the <frameset>....</frameset> page
- the src page for the 1st frame
- the src page for the 2nd frame
this is already 3 templates.

could you please detail what you EXACTLY want to do ??

Recap:
I am using dreamweaver web development tool and I have a file called main.htm that has 2 framesets, src=frame1.htm and src=frame2.htm. What I need is to make main.htm into a template i.e. main.dwt. A solution may be to save each frame as a template and then in dreamweaver, save the main.htm as a template i.e. main.dwt. I have not tried this yet but will update this thread once I find any success in this. Thanks.

???? main.htm ALWAYS remains the same - it NEVER changes - the changing pages are frame1.htm and frame2.htm
why would you want a template for a never changing page ????????????????????

thanks iza .... your comment was helpful and logic, it's made me realise how easy it is to get sidetracked when trying to solve a prob.

i'm sorry i didn't reply earlier ... but i'm happy you solved your problem :) ! yes, often when we believe to be stuck, thinking different (going easier or more simple) is the key ... (or posting in TT ;-) !!)
