Is it possible to use a cell phone for a Menu Tree mailbox option?

I have put 9 + 7-digit number and have tried using Abbr Access Codes. And I always get "I'm sorry, I don't understand that command."

Now if I make the box an Extension voice mail box, it will transfer the call. But I do not want to hear the prompts that it is telling me it is transferring me to the cell phone.

The answer is no.

The only valid entries for menu tree mailboxes are valid mailbox numbers.

To accomplish your task you need to set up an extension type mailbox where the extension number programmed for the mailbox matches a speedcall to the external number.

Mailbox number - Does not Matter
Extension number - Matches Speedcall
Speedcall - Dials external number

Keep in mind that the voicemail ports require the ability to transfer and conference 2 outside lines together unsupervised.

Trunks may require access to speeddial via for 3
VM may require access to speeddial via form 3
VM requires outside calling ability (restricted recommended)
VM requires Trunk to Trunk conf ability vie form 3
Trunk may require Trunk to Trunk conf via for 3
Trunk interconnect required via form 30

Thats all I can think of off the top of my head. try it and see how it goes.

the only problem with that is they are using 4 digit extensions and form 31 will only let me do 300 Speedcall numbers.

The extension number does not need to match the mailbox number in length or value.

Mailbox 1 and have ext 31524

Thanks for the pointers guys. This is what I did to work around the issues concerning speedcalls and extention legnths.

I created extentions 1021-1024 and associated them with a speedcall entry by always forwared them to that speedcall number.

The only draw back is hearing "You are being forwared to 1-0-2-1." But I'm going to have our 'Designated MenuTree recorder' to enter an name in the voicemail greetings to fix that.

What you guys told me was very easy to follow and I appriate the help. With this being an old switch there are a lot of stuff I had ran into that would not of been an issue if it was a new install.
