Hi! I'm using two Menu Smart Clips. I already know how to manage the content and actions for a single Menu. I want to define the options (items) of one Menu Smart Clip based on the choice (selected item) of a previous Menu. I been trying to modify the items array of the second Menu from the "onMenu" function, which defines the actions of the first Menu. Unfortunately I haven't reached my goal. I can´t modify the items of the second Menu from the script of the first one. Can someone help me with this problem?? Thanks.

Are both of these clips on the stage at publish time, or are they linked and called? A few ideas, though....

If they are on the stage at publish you can give them there separate names and then have them refer to each other through variables on the main time line.

The harder method (and not tried this one, so don't know) would be to have the clip refer to itself based upon variables dealing with the content itself. Are you using xml for this? If so, you can reference the specific node in a tree as a constant for itself (I am not going to explain this right now).

If you're using text files, thats not really being dynamic at all, because you're not setting up a variable structure from which you can call "dynamic" text.

Anyhow, post a .fla, and I'll work on it. I'm not "working" today or tomorrow, and this one sounds fun.
