Using combo box to open tab

I was wondering if it was possible to use a combo box to a blank spreadsheet that contained the name of all tabs in a worksheet. When you select a tab name out the combo box that sheet would open.

Why bother, when you can right-click in the sheet tab navigation controls (lower RH corner) and select right there.

It's not for me it is for other users who aren't so excel savvy and want a Index Page (Blank Spreadsheet), that list all the tabs and they can just click on the name of the tab they want and it will take them to that tab.

Maybe a description on the index page would explain this neat feature that's already built in, not only in THIS workbook, but in ANY workbook. Why would you attempt to duplicate an Excel feature, and badly at that???

But if you really want to muck up the workbook, so that the user ALWAYS has to go back to your index sheet, in order to get to another sheet, you might repost your question in Forum707, because it's gonna take VBA code to make this dumb idea work.

But if you really want to muck up the workbook, so that the user ALWAYS has to go back to your index sheet
..then select a sheet other than the Index link and insert into cell A1 a hyperlink back to the Index page. Copy this cell, select all the other non-index sheets and paste into cell A1 of those sheets.

I agree with Skip - pointless IF you are not adding further text explanation of the contents etc to your index sheet. Hyperlinks even within a single document can be prone to error or extra maintenance (when a sheet is added or a sheetname changed)

Sorry I got confused between the two threads on this. A Combo box does not appear to meet your stated business requirement - hence my reference to hyperlinks which do (even if pointlessly):

[a sheet] that list all the tabs and they can just click on the name of the tab they want and it will take them to that tab.

I've explained that to my boss but he says the users want an index page that they can direct them to the page they want even though, there is already a feature in excel that does this.

ASAP Utilities, an Excel add-in that's available on the web at asaputilities.com has a utility that creates an index page with hyperlinks to each page.

I use it often to create a kind of table of contents for those xls's that have lots of pages.
