Using Backup Exec with a Network Appliance filer

Does anyone have any experience, hints or tips regarding using Backup Exec with a network filer? I have found that I can connect to it only sporadically, and other times get an error message that "The item was not found"

Would also like any useful experience that anyone has optimizing backups for systems like this...

I don't think backup exec is meant to be used for that...

If you want to use Veritas you need NetBackup.

Actually, it was... Veritas refers to them as Network Attach Storage (NAS) appliances... here's a good technote on how to determine whether yours is supported by BE,
